Eating at restaurants is one of the fastest ways to gain weight. You see, most meals at restaurants are loaded with calories.
Unfortunately, many people assume that restaurant food is healthy as long as it’s marketed as healthy.
So, without further ado, here are some things to watch out for when you are dining out:
1. Hot dogs and ribs: These fatty cuts of meat usually have a higher fat percentage in terms of calories. Even worse, the type of fat they have is saturated fat which is not good you. You see, saturated fat stiffens you arteries.
2. Anything exposed to extremely hot oil: In this case, you want to avoid any foods that are deep fried. You see, deep fried foods not only have a lot of calories, but the oils used to fry them can become rancid once exposed to high heat.
3. Heaping salads: Salads with heaping quantities of condiments and other types of toppings can be extremely unhealthy for you. You see, the toppings can contain a lot of saturated fat, carbs and sugar. And all of these are not good for you.
4. White bread: Eating a basket of bread right before you begin your meal is one of the fastest ways to gain weight. Not only will you inject your system with calories, but you will also spike your blood sugar. So always avoid eating bread.
5. Your whole meal: Eating your entire meal in one sitting is most likely going to overload your body with calories. You see, a single meal can have an entire days worth of calories. So never eat everything on your plate, take half of it home.
6. Any type of liquid calories: Any time you drink calories, whether it be soda or juice, you are spiking your blood sugar and insulin. So do your best to stay away from any type of liquid calories and have water instead for the best results.
While eating out is not ideal for weight loss, it is possible to eat out while still losing weight. Just make sure you take action here!
