In technical terms, fat is fat but the way in which fat is measured differs from male to female.
Women typically have a higher body fat index than men do because women require more fat to help with childbirth and other hormonal issues. The essential amount of male body fat is between two and five percent while the essential amount of female body fat is between ten and thirteen percent.

1. Change your diet to a fat burning diet. It’s so much better for you all round to follow a healthy and well balanced diet and it’s a great way to get rid of excess fat and lose weight. It is simple math. If you burn a lot more calories than you take in, your body will start to burn your body fat in an effort to keep your energy level up. Just be sure to talk to your doctor before you do any calorie cutting!
3. Take up exercising. Thorough workouts on a regular basis are important when trying to get rid of fat. The best kind of workouts are aerobic and strength training regimes. They burn up calories and improve your muscle tone – both of these are great for keeping your body fat level where it should be. Avoid working on one area of the body only as all this does is move the fat from one place to another.
