In this current economic climate, many people are trying to make money online. They may seek to use an affiliate marketing program or sell a product online. No matter what business one begins to try and promote they must have a rock solid reason as to why they are doing this business or they will quit within a very short time.

A reason for doing a business is a must. If you do not have a reason, stop whatever you are doing, and think long and hard about why you are pursuing the business you are pursuing. Without this key piece of reassurance you will start to doubt yourself within the first few days.

Businesses cost money to start. If you are not justified in why you are spending this money you will look back on that expenditure as a mishap. You must decide why your business is in existence and then continue to market, advertise, and sell on the internet.

By research and trial and error, many entrepreneurs try and discover the “how” of their business plan. These individuals may delve into expert analysis and informational overload. These same individuals may struggle to understand why their business is failing. They would do well to know the “why” of their business so that when the times are tough they will push through to success.

So what makes for a good “why” to the business. Is it to make an extra income for yourself because your current income is not satisfactory? Is it to pay off debts that are weighing down your current financial situation? Are you trying to save money for your kids college fund or wedding fund? Do you want to or need to buy a new car and do not want to finance the car payments but rather pay in cash? Are you shooting to be debt free from your house payments and all other payments? Have you been laid off from or might be laid off from your job? All of these make for good “why” statements for your business.

This “why” statement needs to be very visible where you do your work. Businesses require a lot of hard work. Making sure you are reminded of the “why” of your business can help you create momentum in your online opportunity.

Make sure that those around you know the “why” of your business as well. You may have less time to spend with your immediate family by working at your online opportunity. They need to know that you are missing out on time with them for a good reason. Your closest friends need to know “why” you are spending more time on this internet business then hanging out with them. Produce the “why” of your online opportunity and your friends will often encourage your extra time you must spend to see you get that “why”.

In conclusion, your “why” for doing your online business must be kept close to your heart. Be able to explain your “why” to anybody who asks in great specificity. The more detailed your “why” is the more committed you will be to the task of building your business. You must not quit on your “why.” Your business may change but your “why” should absolutely stay the same.
