The easiest way to deal with pimples is to prevent them from ever happening (you can learn about the best way to prevent pimples at the bottom of this article), but we all know that sometimes pimples surface no matter what we do. The best way to get rid of a pimple fast is one of two easy methods:

Freezing Method – Use this method only if your zit has not yet broke the surface of your skin yet – meaning it is an inflammation beneath the skin, no white head or oozing.

– First, wash your face like you normally would with an acne cleanser

–Immediately after cleansing your face, apply an ice pack to the pimple. If you don’t have an ice pack, you can make one yourself out of crushed ice, some foil, and a ziplock bag.

–Make sure to freeze your pimple for at least 15 minutes

–Once the time is up you can now apply benzoyl peroxide on your pimple.

–Do this entire process again in 2 hours

The way this process works is that by freezing the pimple, you are preventing any more oils and bacteria from spreading and causing a bigger zit. The benzoyl peroxide is essential because after the ice pack is used, it helps to dry up any oils that may have spread. If you do this correctly at least 3 times in one day, your pimple should be gone by the next day.

Hot Water Method – This method should be used only when you have a zit that is a white or black head, or has broken the surface of the skin in any way.

–First, scrub your skin with a quality face wash

–Get a cotton ball or washcloth, and soak it with the hottest water you can stand touching your face

– Press the wash cloth firmly to the effected area, 15 seconds on and 5 seconds off. When the cloth starts to get lukewarm, make sure to re-soak it in hot water. Do this for as long as you can, at least 30 minutes.

–Dry the area with a towel – pat dry, do not rub

–Now the tricky part – popping the pimple. It should look waterlogged by now, and will be easy to pop, just make sure NOT to press down, as this will force bacteria deeper inside the pimple causing a bigger zit.

–Now that its safely popped, apply benzoyl peroxide to dry up any oil that may have been forced outside the zit.

This method takes a little longer than the ice pack method, but it still works! Both of these methods should take no more than 25 minutes to do.
